Pastor Carlton Christopher McLeod was born in Columbia, S.C., but grew up in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.  He enlisted in the Navy in 1987 and was stationed in Virginia Beach, Virginia.  He quickly attained the rank of E-5, and was subsequently accepted into an officer program.  He reached the rank of O-3 before the Lord called him to leave the military and serve the church full time.

Pastor McLeod began his church, Closer Walk Christian Fellowship, in 1997.  Beginning the church with just his wife Donna, God has added to the church tremendously, and many hundreds have been reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

In 2002, Pastor McLeod was accepted into Calvary Alliance of Churches and Ministries, founded by Bishop B. Courtney McBath, senior founding pastor of Calvary Revival Church in Norfolk, Virginia.  In 2004, Pastor McLeod was named Executive Director of the Alliance and continues to serve faithfully in that position.  In 2005, Closer Walk Christian Fellowship changed its name to Calvary Revival Church (of Chesapeake).

Pastor McLeod married his lovely wife, Donna, in 1992.  In 2005, their family was blessed with the addition of a beautiful daughter, Dori.   He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Physics from Hampton University, and Master of Theology and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Andersonville Theological Seminary.
